Download PexGuide

PexGuide is free. The easiest way: the PexGuide app, which installs the addon by itself and keeps it up to date.

Questie is required: PexGuide reads its quest database. The app installs and updates it for you; without the app, install Questie yourself.

PexGuide desktop app (Windows) recommended

A small app that runs next to the game, near the clock:

installs PexGuide and Questie in your WoW Forever client and keeps them updated automatically;
downloads the newest route data every day: better paths, corrected Forever quests;
uploads your anonymous game data in one click, only if you agreed to it in game;

Download the app (Windows, 7.5 MB)

Run PexGuideApp.exe once: the app installs itself, adds a desktop shortcut, starts with Windows and updates itself. Its icon sits near the clock (right-click for the menu). When you quit the game, it syncs right away. The app isn't code-signed yet: Windows may show "Windows protected your PC". Click More info, then Run anyway.

Manual install

Download the PexGuide.zip archive (and Questie).
Unzip it into your client's AddOns folder:

World of Warcraft\_classic_\Interface\AddOns\
```
For WoW Forever, replace _classic_ with the Forever client folder (the one that contains Wow.exe).
Check that you end up with …\Interface\AddOns\PexGuide\PexGuide.toc (not PexGuide\PexGuide\…).
Start the game (or type /reload) and make sure PexGuide is enabled in the AddOns list on the character select screen.
